Looking for a space for your next activity, event, or program? The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) offers access to 70+ schools across Montréal, with facilities available evenings and weekends.
Available Spaces

- Auditoriums
- Cafeterias
- Classrooms
- Outdoor spaces
- Non-profit organizations (with NEQ)
- For-profit businesses (with NEQ)
- Applications from individuals are not accepted
A simple 6-step process:
- Book your space online https://emsb.ebasefm.com/rentals/welcome
- Provide $2M liability insurance naming EMSB as additional insured
- Review cost estimate
- School approval obtained
- Full payment & $1,000 security deposit received a minimum of 30 days in advance
- Permit issued
- Reduced rates available for eligible non-profits
- Accepted payment methods: cheque, certified cheque, money order, direct deposit (no cash)
Rental fees depend on:
- Duration of use
- Type of space
- On-site caretaker required (setup, cleaning, supervision)

All renters must comply with EMSB regulations including but not limited to:
- Adult supervision required at all times
- Responsible for damages to facilities/equipment
- Use limited to approved times and areas
- No smoking on school property
- Follow emergency procedures
- Caretaker presence required
EMSB reserves the right to refuse or cancel rentals if conditions are not met.
As per directives from the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec, school facilities cannot be used for religious purposes, including regular worship or gatherings.
